Many high profile green projects feature all-glass skins, and the public has begun to see these buildings as icons of sustainable architecture. While glass itself is a sustainable material, and daylighting is clearly a plus, are these benefits outweighed by poor energy efficiency?
Laurie Kerr from the Mayor's Office of Long Term Planning and Sustainability opened the evening with a presentaton titled "The All-Glass Building: A Romance in Six Acts."

Christopher Daly, Founder and President of The Sheldrake Organization and Robert Whitlock, Principal, Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. Representing Mass was Anthony Malkin, President, W&M Properties and Scott Frank, Partner, Jaros, Baum & Bolles and Stephen Cassell, Principal, Architectural Research Office.
Charles Linn, Deputy Editor of Architectural Record was the moderator.
